Our client a reputable shipyard in the south of Holland we see a Supervisor electrical installations and maintenance.

The Supervisor guides and checks work in his or her specific area of expertise.
As well as monitoring the general quality of the work. The Supervisor reviews the site facilities, processes, working methods.

In consultation with the Programme manager discusses possible improvements with the local contractor’s, suppliers and responsible personnel. The job also includes advisory tasks, working with, local shipyard staff and fellow members of our team . As we work with people of various different nationalities, international experiences would be a plus.

As a Supervisor, you are a member of our Technical Support Department. This Department is responsible for work planning and for personal guidance and development. On a day-to-day basis, you report to our Site (Project) Manager and/or Supervision Manager on the ground.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Supervising, checking and advising on the shipbuilding projects and processes and all related activities, at international locations e.g. Eastern Europe, Poland etc.) and South America
• Train our local contractors and our own personnel
• Monitoring progress and coordinating with other relevant departments, such as Engineering, Programme management, Engine Engineers and internal Logistics
• Advising and supporting all contracted maritime parties and third parties. Overseeing construction work in various technical domains.
• Checking that new vessels comply with relevant standards and quality requirements, classification societies, and all authorities involved.
• All tasks includes reporting findings, risks, compiling checklists, and taking part in user manuals
• All work should be under compliance with work and company regulations and the HSEQ regulation.

• You hold a technical education MBO/HBO or equivalent in elektical engineering
• Working experience in cable and PLC’s is a plus
• Willing to take additional courses
• Five years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the maritime sector
• Good knowledge of the English and Dutch Language
